Olivet Institute of Technology Plans to Open Robotics Course in 2020

March 04, 2020

Olivet Institute of Technology (OIT) in San Francisco plans to introduce a new course on robotics in the graduate and doctoral curricula during the 2020 academic year.

Robotics is applicable in nearly every industry. Drone or the unmanned aerial vehicle is an example of robotics that has reached the mass market and is used by general consumers. It is an advanced topic that requires knowledge in software, hardware, machine learning, computer vision, and reinforcement learning. Therefore, it is a big challenge for many graduate students and researchers at OIT.

Meanwhile, OIT plans to build a robotics laboratory equipped with the machines and software system to facilitate hands-on experience and research.
